Starting on Monday, March 2, and for the next several weeks, a contractor will begin to replace sections of concrete sidewalks campus-wide where the old concrete is broken and has become a tripping hazard. For your safety, observe and stay out of the areas where safety barricades and construction caution tape have been placed. McKay Building Construction & Renovation
Starting Wednesday, February 11, 2015, there will be demolition and construction activities in and around the McKay Classroom complex for the next three months. Facilities apologizes that their activities will not be able to be kept “noise free.” Contractors will barricade parking stalls on the Little Circle and other areas to create safe working zones. For your safety, stay out of all the confined construction staging areas. Construction will be from 7 AM-5 PM Mondays-Saturdays. They will be removing the existing roofing system and replacing it with a new roof on wings 1, 2, 11, 12 and the Foyer. They will also be removing and replacing all the exterior soffits, fascia, and gutters. New Roof for the Library
Within the next few weeks, construction on a new roof for the Joseph F. Smith Library will begin. The project will be completed by the end of Summer Semester. Several new skylights will be installed with the new roof that will provide daytime lighting. Effective today, parking behind the Library will be closed to provide jobsite storage of roofing materials. Additional information on the project and any campus interruptions will be shared in the university bulletins and at OrangeCone.byuh.edu as they are available.
