Na Hale Kumu Area B - Temple Court
Temple Court is two duplexes located across the street from the temple. Abatement has now been completed and structures begin demolishment on May 7, 2019. Two new duplexes will be constructed in their place and completed on May 26, 2019.
Na Hale Kumu (NKH)
Okland Construction is in the finishing stages of demolition on the Na Hale Kumu Townhouses (NHK). The construction site is an active site with construction vehicles coming and going from the site throughout the day. The main access to the site for construction vehicles is the access road between NHK and the Temple View Apartments (TVA). For your safety, it is requested that pedestrians stay off the access road between NHK and TVA. Pedestrians can gain access to Naniloa Loop through the parking lot marked "TVA" as shown in the diagram below.
Important: The NHK construction site is an active Okland project. Any/all access requires coordination with Okland prior to entering the site.
New Cafeteria Project
Design is nearing completion on the new cafeteria project. Phased demolition will begin in Fall 2018 to prepare for new construction to begin in early 2019. The project is scheduled to be completed in early 2021.
Science & Math Building
The General Classroom Building (GCB) was demolished the end of 2018. A new Science & Math Building will be constructed in its place. Construction started in 2019. Three portable buildings will be used until this project is completed. Two are used as computer labs and one is used as the math lab.
New Micro Market
A new Micro Market will be located in Hale 1 on the northwest corner, directly across from the Health Center. Items for sale will include milk, juice, cereal, eggs, a variety of noodles, bulk rice, pasta sauce, toiletries, and more. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of August 2019. After completion, store hours are anticipated to be the following:
Monday to Friday: 8 AM - 12:00 AM
Saturday: 8 AM - 10 PM
Off-Campus University Housing
A total of 6 duplexes were completed in 2018. An additional 5 duplexes will be built in 2019. All are built to an elevation about the flood zone.
