March 2020 Update

The Science Building has a new private road and a sidewalk closure along Mikionele Way. The private road is for contractors' access only. For your safety, pedestrians are directed to use the sidewalk on the opposite side, and all regular traffic should proceed along Mikionele Way as normal.

January 2020 Update

Finally, after well over 1 year of waiting for permits, the demolition permit has been issued! A Health Department notification will be completed Thursday, January 30 (2-week process). A four-week abatement process will begin next week, followed by a 4-week demolition process. Then the building pad preparation and construction will take place for an additional 3 weeks (until March 30). Once the pad is completed it must compact for 3 months. Construction will begin this summer and is expected to complete in the first part of 2022.
