In order to handle the GCB/Science Building construction traffic Okland has built a new road that runs along the quarry road from PCC and crosses Mikionele Way next to Hale 9 and Hale 2. This new road is private and not for the use of other vehicles. This new road will greatly reduce the number of large concrete, gravel, and supply trucks traveling on the Academic Oval and Mikionele Way. This was done in an effort to keep safety as the number one priority during the "Emua" Moving Forward Together process. Please be cautious when approaching this crossing and walk only on the "open sidewalk" side.

The Temple View Apartment area will be updated and densified with the addition of several new three-story structures. The project will be constructed in two phases. The first phase will include three structures that will be constructed along the southern edge of the community. The second phase will include six structures with associated parking and site infrastructure. The building will be constructed of insulated concrete forms (ICF) that will overcome many of the challenges of the existing construction. The first phase of construction will begin as soon as building permits are approved and will last about two years. The second phase will begin following phase one and will take about three years to complete.
